Cheltenham Night Clubs

There are a number of adult night clubs in Cheltenham and Gloucester. In Cheltenham there is the Blue Room – a members only pole dancing club which is open Monday to Saturday. Private fully nude lapdances are also available some evenings making this an extremely popular adult club in Cheltenham.

Club Minx is also a very popular lapdance club near Cheltenham with comments including ‘classy’ and brilliant.

EXS Night Club  in Cheltenham is a leading Gay and Lesbian night Club, with a wide variety of mucic the night club makes for a great night out in Cheltenham.

The Lodge is well known club not far from Cheltenham, Gloucester. With a number of themed rooms the Lodge is a high quality venue with a welcoming atmosphere. It is relaxed and social with a policy of no pressure to ’join in adult fun’. Located close to the Gloucester docks it is ideally located for restuarant and local hotels.

Glamourpuss is a fantastic student event in Cheltenham held at Lace nightclub in Albion Street. This is rated as Gloucestershires biggest student event. Glamourpuss holds memorable events such as End of Term Parties. A fire at the Lace nightclub resulted in several hundred people being quickly evacuated from the building in the small hours. Fire crew used an arial ladder to extinguish the fire and praised the quick thinking staff who organised the evacuation of the building.

The Boogie Lounge is one of the Cheltenham night clubs which is renowned for its fantastic 70s, 80s and 90s music. The club spans across two floors. On the ground floor is the main dance floor and bar and on the first floor is the famous Lava Bar.

Cheltenham Underground  a late night bar in  the Slak in Cheltenham is one of the most popular monthly live music venues, established in 2008 to  promotion  local musicians from Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, it has become  a popular event in Cheltenham's live music scene and is popular with students,.

The Cheltenham Underground was also has additional shows throughout the year at various venues and bars around Cheltenham. These have included shows for  local charities and also as part of the well established Cheltenham Jazz Festival. The Cheltenham Underground also hosts a varied range of  shows from musicians and entertainers from around the UK , and promotes and support local music.

Howlers Comedy Club, the Comedy scene has always been very popular in Chelteneham. Part of this huge appetite for ‘whats hot’ in comedy is driven by the considerable student population; with a keen desire to see acts such as Sarah Millican before they become too mainstream and not so cool.

One of the best comedy venues in Cheltenham for live comedy with a fantastic reputation for showcasing rising stars is Howlers Comedy Club. This showcases rising stars from across the UK on a monthly basis in the Pillar Room at Cheltenham Town Hall. Previous visiting acts include Sarah Millican, now a household name with her performances on television, Reginald Hunter and Jon Richardson.

Apart from the Cheltenham Town Hall, gigs also take place at The Pavilion at the Royal Oak in Prestbury on the outskirts of Cheltenham. This venue allows a more intimate club style atmosphere between the audience and performer. It is testimony to the popularity of ‘Howlers at the Oak’ that every show has so far been sold out.
