Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2011

Cheltenham Jazz Festival a great annual event in the town features big international players alongside the best of British talent, with up to 17,000 festival-goers attending a wide variety of performances across the five day period. The festival will run from Wednesday 27th April until Monday 2nd May 2011 bank holiday, and is attended by thousands of music fans that come Cheltenham to see some of the most creative musicians in the world.

The diverse programme is accessible to all, from performances at the the Town Hall and the Everyman Theatre, Imperial Gardens and other venues, to education projects and community bands, and  live jazz  fringe in bars and clubs around Cheltenham town center.

The Cheltenham Jazz Festival started in 1996, directed by Jim Smith, and is now one of the UK’s most successfully established popular jazz festivals.   Thje Festival is currently developed by Ian George the Executive Director of the Cheltenham Jazzz Festival  the Cheltenham Jazz Festival consists of a wide range of jazz music.

The Festival has presented a range of star names over the years, including: Jamie Cullum, Jools Holland,  Paloma Faith, Elaine Paige, Eartha Kitt, Dave Holland. We eagerly await the line up for 2011.

The Cheltenham Jazz festival is currently  sponsored by  the Czech beer company Budvar  Taking the name of the festival 'Budvar Cheltenham Jazz Festival'.
