Cheltenham Ladies' College

Cheltenham Ladies College is a mainstream independent school for girls, catering for pupils aged 11 – 18, based around a magnificent Victorian campus. The majority of pupils are day pupils but there are significant number of boarders. This facility is available up to and including Sixth Form pupils.

Cheltenham Ladies College was founded in 1841. In 1858 Dorothea Beale became the new Head Teacher. The school soon developed a reputation for excellence, becoming one of the most highly regarded schools in the country.

Academically the school is extremely strong in all subjects with Ofsted describing the school as exceptional.

The school is also renowned for its excellent facilities including extensive sports facilities, music and library facilities, with teams and activities of a very wide variety.
